Viva Las Vegas ...

Updated: Feb 6, 2018

Welcome to my second blog. In this blog post I will tell you about my very first time in Las Vegas. The city of fiestas, gambling and hotels.

It was a nice Friday night when we decided to go to Las Vegas the next day for 24 hours. The feeling that I went to Vegas for the first time in my life made me very happy. I immediately had to think of all the films that were recorded in Vegas. For example, Ocean's Eleven, The Hangover and Rush Hour. While enjoying a drink we made a daily schedule for the next day.

24 hours in Vegas

"Everything and everything you want to do, you can do it in Vegas." Drew Carey

Las Vegas is a place where you can do everything. A city without boundaries. During my visit to Vegas we visited many shopping centers. I must honestly say that after two weeks you are in Cedar City, where there are almost no decent shops, you really want to see H&M, Pull and Bear or Zara. Keep this in mind future international students: if you are a shop addict, you often go online shopping.

Yes, it is as it is. We will say hallelujah internet.

Coming back to Vegas. After visiting the shopping centers, we went to a very interesting restaurant. There it comes, are you ready? The restaurant is called Dick's. It is a very good restaurant with a good theme that is in the direction of the waiters and waitresses acting as jerks that is absolutely fun. If you have some time left, you should definitely visit this place. It's all about the experience!

After our interesting lunch we went through the strip. We visited the M&M World and had a taste test at Coca-Cola.

As soon as the sun goes down, the city turns into an incredible city of lights. You come to Las Vegas for the nightlife, to gamble in the world famous casinos and to party. Vegas in the night is all about drinking and partying.

Downtown Vegas

"The urban side of Las Vegas."

First of all, Downtown is the original city site and it was the gambling district or Las Vegas prior to the Strip.

When you walk through Downtown, you immediately see the Viva Vision light show. This is so impressive that you cannot keep your eyes off. Another activity that I have not been able to do yet, but which I certainly have on my bucket list, is the Zipline. It looks so cool that you cannot resist it. A tip: make sure you that you buy your tickets before because the spots are full quickly.

All in all, I can say that I didn’t have enough time for Las Vegas. 24 hours for Vegas was certainly not enough for me.

Do you also want to visit Las Vegas? Make sure you stay at least one weekend and make a good planning. There is so much more to do then partying and drinking in Vegas.

Get inspired

In my third blog I will tell you about my trip to Brian Head in Utah with the International Students Ambassadors.
